Terms of use for using the sauna
- Bookings:
- All appointments must be scheduled ahead of time, drop-ins are not permitted.
- You will be required to provide credit card details when booking with us online. Payment for your session must be made at the time of making your booking.
- Your booking is for an hour. Sauna sessions run for 30-45 minutes, please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session. If you are late for your scheduled booking time, you can still use the sauna for the remainder of your allocated time (noting that the finish time will remain the same to ensure that the sauna is available for the next user).
- We can reschedule your appointment with at least 12 hours prior notice. If you fail to provide us at least 12 hours notice of a reschedule or cancellation, you will forfeit amounts paid for that schedule. All reschedules and cancellations must be made on the website. At this stage we’re unable to process refunds, therefore any pre-payments must be allocated to another booking
- Only the person who has booked the session may use the session. Proof of identity must be provided if requested.
- Restrictions on use:
- No person under the age of 16 years is permitted to use the sauna.
- You must not have consumed alcohol or non-prescription or illegal drugs within 12 hours prior to your sauna session. Users that are visibly intoxicated or drug affected will not be permitted to use the sauna.
- You must not use the sauna if you are suffering from any contagious illness, disease or other ailment or whilst you are suffering from a physical condition that would put yourself and/or other users at risk. Specifically, please avoid using the sauna if you are suffering a severe cold or flu, you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have haemophilia, have suffered heart attack, brain tumours or other significant or chronic health issues. If you have insensitivity to heat, or find it difficult to sweat, please do not use the sauna.
- Always check with your doctor before using a sauna, particularly if you are using prescription medication, have a history of cardiovascular issues, have low or high blood pressure, have circulatory system problems or have metal pins, rods, artificial joints or surgical implants.
- Using the sauna:
- The use of saunas may have many health benefits, however it is important to start slow, gradually introducing your body to sauna therapy to produce the best results. Initially, your sauna session should be limited to 30 minutes only before increasing to regular sessions of 45-50 minutes.
- If you feel light-headed, dizzy or heat exhausted, please stop using the sauna immediately and seek medical advice from your doctor.
- Remember to be hydrated properly when using the sauna. It is recommended that you have a drink bottle full of water for all sauna sessions, otherwise your sauna cannot go ahead (we do not allow glass in the sauna).
- It is recommended that you avoid large meals for at least one hour prior to your sauna session. Please do not eat in the sauna.
- Please avoid using topical lotions or oils prior to using the sauna.
- Underwear/swimwear must be kept on at all times whilst in the sauna. A towel must be used at all times whilst in the sauna.
- We ask that you wipe down the seat and backrests with the provided cleaner when you are finished with your session.
- Please comply with all other rules posted at the sauna and directions of our staff at all times. Failure to comply with these terms may result in you being asked to leave the sauna. Please note that we reserve the right to change these terms and therefore recommend that you read and confirm these terms ahead of each sauna session.
- Remember, you are using the sauna at your own risk.
- If this is your first visit to our sauna, one of our staff members will meet you at the sauna to ensure it is set to the right temperature and time – and to ensure you’re comfortable with everything. For subsequent visits, you can elect whether you would like our staff member to assist you or you may elect to proceed yourself on a self-service basis.
